Subject-Science

TEKS:
Organisms and environments. The student knows organisms resemble their parents and have structures and processes that help them survive within their environments. The student is expected to:
B.10.A. Sort plants and animals into groups based on physical characteristics such as color, size, body covering, or leaf shape;
B.10.B. Identify parts of plants such as roots, stem and leaves and parts of animals such as head, eyes, and limbs;
B.9. The student knows that plants and animals have basic needs and depend on the living and nonliving things around them for survival. 

Subject- Social Studies

TEKS:
Scientific investigation and reasoning. The student conducts classroom and outdoor investigations following home and school safety procedures and uses environmentally appropriate and responsible practices.
B.1.C. Demonstrate how to use, conserve, and dispose of natural resources and materials such as conserving water and reusing or recycling paper, plastic and metal.
Essential Questions
1. What is marine life?
​2. What is the difference between lake, sea and ocean?
3. If you could recreate your own marine life animal, what would it be?
4. What can we do to keep the marine life stay safe?

Activities

1. Create a this KWL Chart to tell me what you already know, want to learn and what you've learned after the unit.
